The All Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling & Walking (APPGCW) have an upcoming virtual meeting on Friday the 14th of May at 10.30am.

The subject of the meeting will be ''How to make active travel safer - improving safety audits and transport appraisal systems.'' The APPGCW have stated that the reason for this meeting as that they are aware that concerns around safety can often be a barrier for uptake of cycling and walking, so this is a key topic this year.

During the meeting we will hear from two experts in this area, Kate Carpenter, who is the head of the Operational Safety and Traffic Engineering team at Jacobs, and Phil Goodwin who is an Emeritus Professor of Transport Policy.
