Rates refund deadline countdown

Posted on in Business News

You have just weeks before you could miss out on 5 years of business rates refund.

http://www.actsmart.biz/uploaded_images/icons-210px/ratesrecovery-210px.jpgCurrent business rates (set in April 2010) are based on information up to five years old, meaning thousands of businesses could have been paying too much, and may continue to do so up until 2017.

In fact, many businesses should actually be paying less and may be due a rebate for overpayments in previous years. However, you must act now. Buried in the last budget was a proposal to remove the backdated rebate element from the appeals process meaning you could lose 70% of any refund due to you.

After the 31st March any appeal which leads to a saving will have the refund limited to 2015 not 2010.

To make the most of this opportunity send a copy of your rates bills to info@actsmart.biz to see if you will qualify for a refund.

ActSmart subscribers will not only receive the refund they are owed but will also benefit from:

  • FREE initial consultation
  • Save 20% on RatesRecovery's standard fee
  • No win, no fee
  • Backdated rebate and future savings
