Third wave of Fix Your Bike Vouchers released

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News , Political News

The DfTtyres has just informed the ACT that the third batch of 150,000 bike repair vouchers, worth £50 each, have now been released to the public.

The vouchers now have a 90-day validity period within which they can be allocated to a participating repairer. This means that people will have until the beginning of June to book a service and repairers have until 31 August 2021 to complete the work.

The DfT have done this in the hope that allowing services to be carried out over a longer period will protect the sector capacity to do repairs.

More about the scheme

The scheme was first announced back in June with the aim of encouraging thousands of people get back into cycling. It is open to anyone in England who has an unused cycle in need of a repair.

Vouchers can only be used with bike repairers or mechanics that are registered for the scheme in England.
