Claim your free Cytech course at iceBike

Posted on in Cycles News

The ACT are backing a campaign to get every specialist cycle trade employee Cytech qualified, with a FREE course for ACT member shops.

Being Cytech qualified not only gives your staff the confidence they need to do their job to the highest of their ability, but it also gives your customers peace of mind that their bike is in safe hands.

Following international expansion last year, Cytech is now the recognised training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians across the globe. As such, the ACT's aim is to encourage every specialist cycle trade employee to become Cytech qualified.

Whilst Cytech technical two is the industry standard for professional cycle technicians worldwide and Cytech technical three represents the pinnacle of technical proficiency, getting qualified to a minimum of Cytech technical one is key for EVERY cycle trade employee, no matter what their role in the business.

Possessing the skills learnt in Cytech theory one will give your employees a strong foundation to build their career upon.

No matter what position a member of staff holds in your business, learning key workshop skills can help them to better understand how the business is run, manage customer expectations, work safely and efficiently in the retail environment and even carry out some of the more basic workshop activities.

To help give your shop a helping hand in getting staff qualified, every ACT member shop can claim one free Cytech theory one course - worth £150 - from the ACT at iceBike*. Simply pick up a flyer at the show for more details.

All Cytech qualified personnel are promoted online via the directory on Cytech.training. The Cytech directory works as a constantly updated census of who is Cytech qualified and where they are employed, helping UK consumers to find their nearest qualified mechanic to take care of their bike.
