The segment of the show showcases the facilities at the training centre, the strength of the Cytech qualification and how the introduction of the training programme will give more people the opportunity to build a career in bicycle maintenance and help the industry to reach its full potential.

Predicting big things for Cytech, Torq Zone academy are confident that a training programme rolled out across the country - and globally - will help the cycling industry thrive by ensuring qualified technicians are available to fill the growing number of job vacancies in the trade.

The full segment dedicated to Torq Zone Academy, as featured on the show, can be seen in the video below.

Andrew McLean and Owen Hannie - both ex-pro cyclists - regularly feature on Super Cycling and are now heavily involved in the local cycling industry in South Africa. The industry experts have praised Cytech training as a much needed programme, recognising that a Cytech qualification will allow budding technicians to gain entry into the industry - something that wasn't possible prior to a national qualification being made available.

On the show, Mclean commented "Every store in South Africa is looking desperately for good mechanics. The quicker [Cytech] is rolled out, the quicker the standard will improve and the better it will be for everybody".
