Poll: July cycle sales

Larger cycle retailers appear to have enjoyed a sales boost in July following Bradley Wiggins’ victory in the Tour de France, but was it the same for all bike shops?
Evans Cycles recorded a 35% uplift in road bike sales and a surge of visitors to its website following the Tour, while Halfords has also seen road bike sales soar over the last month.
Chain Reaction Cycles said the British win in the epic road race was likely to bring more people into the sport and create a “greater demand for bikes” and Wiggle chief executive Humphrey Cobbold said: “We hope there it’s an inspiration for shoppers long term and it’s more likely to benefit the sports end of the market if Cavendish, Hoy and Pendleton do well following Bradlley’s win.
But just how did the British victory affect your bike sales in July? Let us know by taking part in our poll to help us make industry comparisons.
