Save the date! Bike Week 2016 returns 11-19th June
Posted on in Cycles News
Bike Week returns for 2016, an annual opportunity to encourage ‘everyday cycling for everyone'.
Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends.
The 2016 event will take place 11-19th June but events still take place through September and beyond!
As the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK, Bike Week encourages over half a million people to join in events, rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around. There are hundreds of events planned for 2016 already and there's still time to get involved and plan your own!
This year's Bike Week has a special focus and will encourage people to use their bikes to cycle to work. Many people will use the events to ride and take part in ‘buddy' rides with colleagues, scope out the easiest route to their place of work or take part in work place challenges.
As a bike shop, why not register an event for Bike Week and benefit from national promotion on the Bike Week Events calendar.
If you don't have the time to plan Bike Week specific events, then why not take advantage of the tools already at your fingertips. If you already host workshops or social rides why not put them up on the Bike Week website. It might lead to a bigger turnout for not just the specific week's events, but any future events you plan.
Register your events on the website today.
