See Take it outdoors at Leeda's new show

Posted on in Outdoor News

A new show for the fishing tackle retail trade is being launched next month.

The Leeda iceTackle Expo will take place at Arena MK, the home of the Milton Keynes Football Club, from February 24th to 26th. All the latest products from the Leeda, Wychwood and MAP brands will be on show.

The new event is an extension of iceBike, an existing show run by cycle business and sister company Madison, which took over the running of Leeda in a major restructure last year.

Madison CEO Dominic Langdon said "Leeda is experiencing everything we have experienced at Madison, so iceTackle seemed a logical move. The timing is perfect as anglers, like cyclists, are starting to get active again.

"All UK retailers are invited, regardless of whether they do business with Leeda or not. We will be showing both new and familiar product and there will be some great pre-season offers. But mainly we want to talk to retailers about how we see Leeda in the future and to make sure we are covering all the needs of our customers.

"Much has changed at Leeda and there are a lot of new faces, so we need time to introduce ourselves. The show is a unique opportunity for customers to see the scale of what we do each year. The aim is to stimulate our customers."

"We are very focused on supporting the independent retailer," added Langan. "We will work hard on this at the show through educational seminars that bring in third party service providers who we know will help retailers. We want to do everything we can to make retailers better and help them survive an undoubtedly changing environment"

One third party service provider that will be on hand is Take it outdoors, powered by ActSmart. Take it outdoors retail finance is a powerful sales tool for retail businesses. It allows customers to get the products, clothes and accessories they want without breaking the bank, by spreading the cost of their purchase.

The Take it outdoors retail network is growing fast with over 750 retailers now offering finance through the scheme. If you haven't joined the hundreds of UK outdoor pursuits retailers already increasing their sales, then click here to find out more, contact us or visit the stand at iceTackle to see what Take it outdoors can do for your business.

The cycle element of the Madison show attracts around 1,500 independent retailers and a large press contingent.
iceTackle will be an annual event alongside iceBike. Registration and parking are free and visitors will be able to access all areas of the show. More information is available at www.icetackle.co.uk.
