A TfL partnership opportunity for London e-bike retailers

Posted on in Cycles News , Outdoor News

Transport for London are aiming to get more people on e-bikes through a city-wide promotional campaign.

https://tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/images/promos/cycling-people-street.jpgIn order to contribute to the Mayor's ambition for 80% of trips in London to be made on foot, by cycle or by public transport by 2041, Transport for London (TfL) are aiming to significantly increase awareness and understanding of e-bikes in London through an extensive and multi-faceted communication campaign.

To encourage more people to test ride and buy e-bikes in London, TfL are calling on bike shops in and around London to take part in the campaign.

There are a number of opportunities for bike shops to get involved and benefit from TfL's city-wide promotional campaign. Participating retailers will benefit from promotion via various channels, targeting residents and visitors to London.

In order to be promoted as part of this campaign retailers will need to be based in London and be able to offer at least one of the following:

  • Test ride opportunities via your shop or demo centre - offer people the opportunity to test ride an e-bike for free.
  • Test ride opportunities via workplaces - deliver e-bike demo sessions at workplaces in London.
  • Discounts on e-bike purchase - provide a minimum 5% discount on the purchase of e-bikes.
  • Interest free finance - offer finance over a minimum 12 month period on a range of e-bikes.

More information about the promotional opportunities and benefits can be found in this TfL presentation.

If you are interested in becoming a partner store, return this Expression of Interest form to chrismather1@tfl.gov.uk by 30th September.

If you have any questions in the meantime please contact: Laura Dyett on lauradyett@tfl.gov.uk or 0203 054 2193.
