Job Description

Alpine Bikes Aberdeen, located in the West End of the city, are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join their small team.

The successful candidate’s duties will include:

  • Daily workshop services as directed by the Store Manager
  • Maintain high quality and quantity of work, service standards, and behavior
  • Carry out the daily running of the workshop 
  • Repair and service customers bikes, this includes the preparation of ex-hire bikes for sale
  • Book in bikes for repairs etc meeting agreed deadlines
  • Estimating costs (labour & parts) and providing customer quotes
  • Dealing with customer queries and offering product or general cycling advice for the local area
  • Liaising with suppliers, other stores and Head Office Alpine team
  • Maintaining suitable stock levels for the workshop
  • Maintaining a tidy working environment
  • Maintaining a suitable level of industry knowledge and developments
  • Cover the sales floor as and when required

Skills/Experience Required

We are looking for somebody with experience in delivering the highest standards of customer service in a bike workshop and the successful candidate will ideally be qualified to Cytech Level 2 or equivalent and have relevant industry experience.
