Brexit: Update #2

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News , Political News

Brexit Latest updates on Brexit following the last two weeks of voting.

This week, the Prime Minister wrote to European Council President Donald Tusk requesting an extension to Article 50 until the 30th of June.

Following the talks that took place on Thursday, the European Council has agreed to an extension until 22nd May, provided that the Withdrawal Agreement is approved by the House of Commons next week.

If MP's reject the deal, the extension will end on 12th April and the UK must set out its plan for going forward or leave with no deal. An extension beyond 12th April date would require the UK to vote in European Parliament elections on 23-26th May. MPs will debate the deal on 25th March.
