New Facebook Shop features are rolling out to the UK and Canada

The Facebook Shop roll out will enable UK businesses to provide their Facebook audience with in app purchase using in stream payment options. As explained by Facebook, "The Shop experience for consumers will feature curated collections, products and recent posts from businesses of all sizes. People will be able to see personalised content from brands within the News Feed, and through in-product notifications or small business favourites they follow." Look out for a new 'Shop' tab in your menu bar.

 

TikTok launches new Seller University

It's exciting to see the ecommerce visions of TikTok coming into focus as they launch their TikTok shop seller university in Indonesia as a test country. TikTok is working quickly to provide more monetisation options for creators, with new eCommerce and in-stream selling tools that users will eventually be able to incorporate into their profiles, videos and live-streams. 

 

Twitter tries again at warning prompts before replies.

Watch out for the new alerts as Twitter is asking people to ‘review replies with potentially harmful or offensive language'. You then have three large buttons below the prompt - you can either tweet it anyway, edit your response, or bin it instead. Have you spotted these alerts yet?

Twitter has announced plans for a new "super follow" feature which will enable account holders to charge for exclusive additional content.

This could take the form of extra tweets, joining a community group or receiving a newsletter, Twitter said.
