Great British Spring Clean, get involved

Posted on in Business News

This year's Great British Spring Clean takes place from the 22nd of March - 23rd of April!

Great British Spring Clean Up

Last year, over 370,000 people collected 650,000 bags of rubbish across Great Britain.
#GBSpringClean is aiming to inspire over 500,000 people to join forces - in partnership with community organisations, businesses and the government - to clean up the streets and recycle as much as possible.

The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) is encouraging as many retailers to get involved.

James Lowman, ACS chief executive, said:

"Ensuring that our high streets and local neighbourhoods are free of litter encourages community activity and strengthens town centres. Research from our 2018 Local Shop Report found that 81% of independent retailers were involved in some form of community activity in the past year, demonstrating the positive contribution that convenience stores make to the communities that they serve."

If you'd like to get involved as a business with a campaign, then download a free ‘Guide to Hosting a Community Clean-Up' here.
