Great British Shooting Awards shortlist TBA tomorrow

Following a hugely successful year in 2019, The Great British Shooting Awards are back for a second year in 2020 and are set to be bigger and better than ever with new categories added to the list! The awards are made possible by Future Field Sports, in association with The Great British Shooting Show and headline sponsor Pulsar.

The aim of the GBSA is to give recognition to the products, organisations and people that make our industry tick. Categories will include:

  • Shooting Apparel of the year
  • Rifle Ammunition of the year
  • Shotgun Ammunition of the year
  • Optics product of the year - over £1,000
  • Optics product of the year - under £1,000
  • Night vision/Thermal product of the year
  • Airgun of the year
  • Rifle of the year
  • Shotgun of the year
  • Retailer of the year
  • Innovative Product of the year
  • Gamekeeper of the year
  • Professional Stalker of the year
  • Outstanding contribution to conservation
  • Lifetime achievement

Nominations for the 2020 shortlist closed on Saturday the 31st August, where they are now being assessed by a panel of industry experts including Tim Bonner (Countryside Alliance CEO), Simon West (Executive Director of the GTA), Peter Carr (Group editor-in-chief of Future's field sports titles), Geoff Garrod (Trustee of the NGO), Andrew Grainger (Project Manager at Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group) and Iain Parker (CPSA CEO).

The shortlist for each category will be announced on 1st October where public voting will also open! To find out more and have your say visit the Future Events website.
