Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

As indepedent businesses are increasingly affected by political factors and Retaila lack of governent support, the UK retail industry is becoming a crisis situation with hudreds of independent retailers being forced to close their shops every week.

Set within the city of Brighton, Vinyl Revolution had quickly gained the support of the local comunity and was a previous entrant to the IndieRetail Best Small Shops competition. Unfortunately, the independent store have now found their business being forced to close on just their second birthday.

Independent shops provide employment, support their local communities and pay tax. Brighton's local MP, Caroline Lucas, has commented on the situation by saying "Shops like Vinyl Revolution are the lifeblood of Towns and Cities around the country". You can support independent retailers across the country by signing the government petition titled Take immediate action to save independent retail from dying.
