ATG Training Oxford host Britain's Best Bike Mechanic final

Posted on in Cycles News

The final of Britain's Best Bike Mechanic in association with Park Tool will take place this Friday, September 7 at ATG training, Oxford.

BBBMBack in June, Cycling Weekly and MBR launched a campaign with Park Tool to find and recognise Britain's Best Bike Mechanics.

Over 300 mechanics received nominations from the public, with those that got the most votes forming a shortlist of 10 who then went on to complete a #BBBM2018 application form with scenario based questions which we were used to select the finalists - three for MTB and three for Road.

On Friday 7th September these six finalists will attend the final at ATG Training's new Cytech training facility in Oxford, where they will battle it out to be crowned the winner in a series of challenges designed to test their skills.

The competition will be judged by industry experts, GB Cycling's head mechanic Mark Ingham and Park Tool's Director of Education Calvin Jones.

The winner will not only receive the coveted BBBM2018 trophy and be able to advertise themselves as Britain's Best Bike Mechanic but they will also receive a £250 voucher to spend on Park tool products.
