Through a partnership with the retailTRUST, ActSmart is bringing retailers the opportunity to attend a fully-funded, or part-funded residential retail training programmes with the Oxford Summer School, worth £2295.
The 5 day course takes place at St. Hugh's College Oxford from Monday 25th to Friday 29th June 2018 and applications for the scholarships are now being accepted here.
The Foundation is a fully residential programme designed specifically for retail managers. The course provides delegates with the opportunity to reflect on their own approach to leadership and management, gain a wider understanding of their role and the impact that successful leaders can create. The programme enables managers to develop and enhance the vital skills leaders need to ensure their team delivers to the organisation's standards, targets and expectations.

Last year over 60 managers attended the course from more than 30 companies drawn from across the UK retail sector, including leading independents, national brands and multiples. The course is highly participative and features group exercises, tutorial sessions and guest speakers from the sector. This year our guest speakers will include; Laura Brown, Retail Director - Harrods, Peter Pritchard, CEO - Retail, Pets at Home, Andrew Marrins, Global Head of Learning & Development for Brewdog and Nick Booth of Waypoint who specialises in Coaching skills for retail managers.

You'll be asked to complete a short questionnaire outlining why you and your business would benefit from attending the Foundation.
Once you've submitted your application you will receive an acknowledgement within five working days.
If you have been shortlisted, you will be invited to a 30-minute telephone interview. Offers will be made when all the shortlisted candidates have been interviewed.
