Get on your bike for Cycle to Work Day!

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

The ACT is a key partner in Cycle to Work Day - JoinCTWD us as we give the UK a much-needed boost through cycling.

Now in its ninth year, Cycle to Work Day is the UK's leading one-day commuting event. The idea is simple - to  celebrate everyday cycling. It's an opportunity for people to get in the saddle and experience the benefits.

From boosting wellbeing, to better health and improved finances; cycling offers it all.

Whilst our event is called Cycle to Work Day, we know that isn't possible for all. Whether people are working from home, in the workplace or somewhere in between - absolutely anyone can join in our cycle celebrations.

Whatever gear you're in...

For 2021, Cycle to Work Day are taking inspiration from our Dutch friends and encouraging people to cycle in whatever gear they're in.

In the Netherlands, locals have a relaxed attitude when it comes to riding - wearing clothes that they feel are appropriate, rather than relying only on specific gear and gadgets. This helps normalise cycling and is one of the
reasons why it's such a popular mode of transport.

This Cycle to Work Day, we're encouraging the UK to try travelling by bike on for size - whatever gear they're in.
