Bicycle Mechanic Apprenticeship - have your say on the new occupational standard

The bicycle mechanic trailblazer group is asking for feedback from cycle businesses to help finalise the new apprenticeship occupational standard.
Supported by the Association of Cycle Trades (ACT) and ATG Training and chaired by Cycle-R, the bicycle mechanic trailblazer group has been working together to create a new apprenticeship standard for bicycle mechanics, which will replace the existing apprenticeship framework. The trailblazer group consists of over 10 employers in the cycle industry, the majority being independent retailers, with some additional representation from larger retailers. Key suppliers and members of the cycle industry's trade body also support the group.
After submitting a proposal, Bicycle Mechanic has now been approved for development as an apprenticeship standard by the Institute of Apprenticeships. At this stage the trailblazer group is asking for feedback to shape the duties and knowledge, skills and behaviours of a competent bicycle mechanic, which will form the outcome of the apprenticeship training.
The trailblazer group has put together their suggestions for the occupational standard, but would like feedback from those in the trade. Please take a few minutes to read through the proposed occupational standard here and answer this quick survey to give your feedback before it is finalised and submitted to the Institute of Apprenticeships for approval.
