IBDs see an increase in both new & returning customers in Dec 2020 vs 2019

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

2Winter bike020 was a challenging year for the retail sector as whole, but for bike retailers in particular it meant a rise in demand never seen before, leading to surging sales and stock shortages.

As part of our involvement with the Independent Retailers Confederation (IRC), the ACT and a number of other trade organisations with the retail sector co-ordinate feedback amongst our members to influence Government policy.

The most recent survey determined how the cycling industry fared throughout Christmas 2020 in comparison to Christmas 2019. The findings shows an increase in both new and returning customers in December 2020 in comparison to 2019. Full results of the survey can be viewed below.

The data was confidentially and anonymously shared with members of the IRC may be used for future government lobbying activity.

You can read more about how retail finance has positively impacted cycling industry sales here.
