Bicycle shops are permitted to remain open in Northern Ireland

Posted on in Cycles News , Political News

Following the Bicycle Association's enquiries it has now been made clear that bicycle shops are permitted to remain open in Northern Ireland.

According to the Northern Ireland Executive Office, bicycle shops are included on the list of essential shops that "can continue to operate but are under a legal duty to adopt social distancing measures". The full Northern Ireland exemption list can be found here, as well as in Schedule 2 Part 3 of the relevant NI legislation.

The ACT has compiled a list of resources available for bicycle shops staying open across the UK, these can be accessed here.
