Job Description

We are looking for Trainer who will be responsible for training our new Bike Builders and helping us build an internal training academy for our mechanic team.

The lead up to Christmas is the busiest time for us and we will need someone who is a natural coach and mentor to teach our new hires and get them up and running to meet our company standards, pretty quickly. You will be creating training plans, documenting processes and providing practical training on bike building so our customers receive top quality bikes that are safe for their children.

What you will be up to:

  • Evaluate the skills of the current mechanic team & identify training needs
  • Prepare, plan, delivery and evaluate bike mechanic courses
  • To deliver high quality practical, engaging and informative training sessions
  • Creating and updating training content
  • Creating and maintaining a training record for mechanic team
  • Work regularly with QC team to continue to assess individual mechanic training needs
  • Proactively make suggestions to improve standards and quality of mechanic team
  • Consult with warehouse manager & team leaders in the delivery of training

Skills/Experience Required

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience as a mechanic
  • You must have a Cytech level 2 qualification
  • Demonstrable experience teaching or coaching others
  • A perfectionist -we want nothing but the best for our members
  • Ability to change tactics and change your approach if someone isn't understanding your material and easily able to present technical information to different audiences
  • You don't mind a bit of chaos (Did I mention we are growing quickly)
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Someone who is. comfortable working independently


Location: Rainham, Essex

Hours: We are offering either a part/full-time position.

Rate: £21,000 - £28,000 per annum
