Job Description
Due to expansion and increased demand, we are looking to take on apprentice mechanics who will get full training over a 12 – 18 month period. Working closely with our mechanics you will be trained to assess, diagnose, repair and service bikes of all descriptions. As well as in house training you will have access to online learning from Shimano, Bosch, and many other brands. There may also be opportunities for off-site training sessions.
An average day will be spent repairing bikes, speaking to customers about the work they would like done to their bikes, finding and pricing up different repair options, liaising with brands regarding specific parts and building good relationships with customers.
On top of the bike specific training, you will also work towards a customer service qualification in conjunction with LLandrillo College which will help you develop your skills when dealing with customers, handling queries and managing difficult situations. Customer service is at the core of our business. Our mechanics deal directly with customers every day and it is vital you are able to not only understand the customers needs, but are also able to manage their expectations.
By the end of a successful apprentice period, you will have a level 2 Cytech qualification, and a Level 2 Customer Service diploma, and the potential to stay on with us in a full or part time role.

We are not looking for people with specific academic qualifications, but there are personal attributes that are vital for this role:
A love of bikes
A willingness to learn
Computer literate
