Job Description
CycleStreet is a well-established bike retail and workshop store based just outside the historic walls of York, known as a cycling city. Catering to most disciplines with a lean towards commute & MTB and a growing representation of e-bikes we work with brands including Whyte, Scott, Bergamont, Vello de Ville, Hope, POC, MET and Schwalbe.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to provide a quality customer experience for anyone coming through our door.
We are a small, tight team and communication between all levels is key and all ideas will be listened to and considered. A good level of IT skills is expected to enable use of the EPOS system, supplier product sourcing, ordering and making use of the available manufacturers technical resources.
Working hours are 39.5 hours a week including Saturday, closed Sunday and a rota day off in the week. We would consider part time applications from the right person.
Salary is negotiable and dependent on you being the right candidate for the role and we offer good staff purchase rates.
Skills/Experience Required
Experience in a diverse and fast paced cycle workshop is essential. A flexible approach and strong product knowledge will allow you to ascertain and understand the needs of customers and make informed recommendations.
Attention to detail and a problem-solving ethos is key as is knowledge of and continued learning of existing and new bike systems and technology which will be supported by the business.
Ideally you will already hold Cytech level 2 as a minimum, or equivalent. Bosch / Shimano E-Bike experience is also desirable however can be taught to the right applicant.
