SMARTER Fixed Lines & Calls enable you to transfer your BT line rental (analogue and digital ISDN 2e/30e) to Chess SMARTER telecoms.
SMARTER Fixed Lines & Calls is an automated service which diverts calls from the BT network to the SMARTER Chess network giving customers access to competitive call and line rental rates. Customers who take this service will receive one bill for all call charges and line rentals and can continue to use any of their inbound Select Services i.e. 1471, call divert.
Who it's for?
SMARTER Fixed Lines & Calls is suitable for any customer with BT lines who wishes to access better value line rental and call charges with no interruption to their service. It is appropriate for customers considering our CPS service who also wish to transfer their line rental to Chess.
Chess' commitment to you:
- A named personal account manager
- They liaise with BT and do all the ordering with BT to switch the service ensuring that there are no service interruptions for you
- One fully-itemised bill providing details of all line rental and call charges, available electronically by email
How it works
Chess will assess your needs and fill in an order form for the phone lines and BT numbers that you want to transfer
On completion of the order form, Chess will contact BT on your behalf and instruct them to cancel all line rentals and call billing. BT may contact you, via a phone call at this point to confirm your intention to transfer line rental and call charges to Chess
Chess will provide you with an effective date. The effective date will be the date you stop being billed line rental and call charges by BT and will start being billed for line rental and call charges by Chess
Chess will continue to support and bill any Select Services you have set up on the line such as call waiting, call barring, etc.
You will receive one bill showing line rental and all call charges making your billing processes simpler.
The service is provided at the local BT exchange meaning that no equipment needs to be installed at your premises and no change will occur to your lines.
There is no interruption to your services and you can keep your phone numbers.
