POLL: Was the budget good for business?

Posted on 28 Jun 2010

The emergency budget received a generally warm reception from business who viewed the budget implications over the longer term and against the current economic landscape as reported by the Telegraph.

The Institute of Directors said the Chancellor had "faced up to the challenge"; the Chambers of Commerce hailed the strategy as "courageous", whilst the CBI director general stated that the Budget showed clear recognition of "the role that business needs to play in getting the economy back into shape".

The Telegraph also reports that the small business community thought Mr Osborne had "gone a long way to reducing the deficit".

ActSmart's recent discussions with Goverment have highlighted a renewed recognition and greater dependency upon the role of business, but we want to know what the ActSmart community's initial feelings are about the budget impact upon your individual businesses.

Please complete the poll above and we welcome any comments below, on your views of the budget's impact and what else needs to happen over the remainder of 2010 in order that small business can help the economy.
