Don't be fooled by Talk

Members are warned to be cautious of sales calls introducing telecom services from providers not recognised by ActSmart.
One of our Scottish members was recently introduced to a new provider via a cold call from the Federation of Small Business. The retailer involved was led to believe that ActSmart were involved in the recommendation process as the FSB representative stated that they were targeting our members.
The FSB introduced the retailer to 'Talk' provider and a new agreement for the provision of telecoms was put in place, irrespective of the retailers current and ongoing contractual arrangements with an established telecoms provider.
The result was a £1400 bill to the retailer, who found himself under contract to 2 providers at the same time.
We don't take kindly to sales introductions which infer ActSmart's involvement with unknown third parties and have now resolved the matter with 'Talk' removing the cost liability from the retailer.
ActSmart's only recognised telecoms provider is Chess Telecom who offer a comprehensive range of solutions including telecoms, broadband and mobile.
