Are you getting involved with Bike Week 2015?

Posted on in Cycles News

ACT are proud to once again be supporting Bike Week, an annual opportunity to encourage ‘everyday cycling for everyone'.

http://bikeweekorguk.c.presscdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Use4BIKEWEEKonly-1-600x450.jpgDemonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK, whether this be for fun, as a means of getting around to work or school, the local shops or just to visit friends.

The 2015 event will take place 13-21st June but events still take place through until September and beyond!

This year's Bike Week has a special focus and will encourage people to use their bikes to cycle to work. Many people will use the events to ride and take part in ‘buddy' rides with colleagues, scope out the easiest route to their place of work or take part in work place challenges.

As the biggest nationwide cycling event in the UK, Bike Week encourages over half a million people to join in events, rethink their everyday journeys and switch to cycling as the most convenient way to get around. There are hundreds of events planned for 2015 already and there's still time to get involved and plan your own!

As a bike shop, why not register an event for Bike Week and benefit from national promotion on the Bike Week Events calendar.

If you don't have the time to plan Bike Week specific events, then why not take advantage of the tools already at your fingertips. If you already host workshops or social rides why not put them up on the Bike Week website. It might lead to a bigger turnout for not just the specific week's events, but any future events you plan.

Register your events on the website today.

Make the most of your free promotion

As a partner of the ACT, Bike Week encourages cyclists to shop locally with a Bike Shop Finder linking people directly to The Cycling Experts shop search - a directory for ALL independent bike shops in the UK.

So, the least you can do this Bike Week is to visit The Cycling Experts and check your listing is up to date. If it's not, or you aren't listed at all, then log in or create a My ActSmart account here and simply edit your Cycling Experts ‘Consumer Promotion'.
