Cytech hits social media milestone!

Posted on in Business News , Cycles News

Cytech, the training and accreditation scheme for bicycle technicians, now has an online community of over 1500 Facebook fans!

The Cytech facebook page was launched back in 2010 to share news and updates about the industry qualification and give guidance to those wanting to go on a course.

However, in the last year alone, Cytech's social media following has grown by 50%, thanks to a number of new developments worldwide. The page now has over 1500 fans from countries including the UK, Australia, South Africa, and the US.

The growth of the online community reflects the growth of Cytech overall. Over 8000 technical courses have been delivered to over 3500 candidates including staff working for some of the world's leading bicycle distributors. Over 2000 Cytech qualified staff are currently employed worldwide.

Cytech now has training centres in the UK and South Africa, with further expansion planned in 4 other countries, alongside the more UK training locations in 2015.

The rapid growth of the Facebook community speaks volumes for the Cytech brand. As it gains more recognition, not only will more technicians seek qualifications, but more consumers will be encouraged to take their bike to a Cytech qualified technician.

Consumers can find their local qualified mechanic on the Cytech Directory - a constantly updated census of who is Cytech qualified and where they are employed. It is also a way to check that you, your staff or colleagues have the necessary qualifications and that these are correctly listed.

If you don't already, why not ‘Like' the Cytech facebook page to be kept up to date with offers, promotions, news and much more and help us reach our next milestone!

As well as the Facebook community, the Strava Cytech cycling club has been created to bring likeminded people in the industry together for a social experience, providing motivation and camaraderie, even if you're cycling alone. So, if you're a Cytech qualified technician, looking for a new challenge, join the club today!

Plus, you can now stay in touch with friends and colleagues, advertise jobs, discuss our industry and keep up to date with all things Cytech on LinkedIn. Click here to join the group.
