Were you the Fastest Wrench?

Posted on in Cycles News

The London Bike Show 2015 saw the highly anticipated return of Cytech's Fastest Wrench competition, and had an influx of both trade and public entrants across the three day show.

The Cytech Fastest Wrench competition is a regular feature at the London Bike Show, giving visitors the opportunity to put their skills to the test and see who could change an inner tube in the quickest time to be crowned the Fastest Wrench 2015.

From under a minute to almost eight minutes, the times varied massively but it was close at the top with just seconds separating those who made it on to the Leaderboard.

The 2015 competition welcomed back last year's winner, Adam Gajecki, an ex-mechanic who only managed third place this year with a time of 1 minute and 2 seconds.

The fastest time at the end of the show was 51 seconds (the same winning time as last year) secured by Jay Hunt, a Cytech Level 3 qualified mechanic from Lewisham who took fourth place last year, demonstrating that practice makes perfect!

The Fastest ever time recorded by a Fastest Wrench entrant still remains at an impressive 44.62 seconds. Will you be the one to beat it next year?!

There were even more prizes on offer this year for the most impressive competitors - including Digital Telegraph subscriptions for the ten runners up, Park Tool Kits for the second place competitors and GoPro's for the two fastest from trade and public.

The top three from trade and public are featured below and will be receiving their prizes once we've been in touch.
Thanks to everyone who took part in the competition. If you missed us at the show, start practising now in time for next year and you could be the new champion!
