Boxer Cycles Is Crowdfunding! - Invest in a UK cargo cycle manufacturer

Boxer Cycles is a Poole based manufacturer of electric cargo cycles with a portfolio of products designed to meet the key markets in this burgeoning sector of cycling. In the last 12 months, Boxer has focused on making its three models, the Rocket, Shuttle and Cargo, mass production ready and it now seeks the investment to ramp up production and shift manufacturing from a direct sales model to a re-seller model and to move into the European and overseas markets.

Want to leave your car or van at home for work and play and use a green, fun, cool and practical cargo cycle instead, then Boxer is for you. This is a unique opportunity to invest in a cycle that is going to change the way we travel around urban areas. Whether taking the kids to school or making deliveries, Boxer cycles are a new way of looking at leisure and travel and this is your opportunity of being involved from the start!

Boxer is seeking to raise a minimum of £48,000 via a crowdfunding platform

This crowdfunding platform is a little different from most in that it allows investors to invest as little as £10 but in doing so they receive equity (shares) in the business.Furthermore, the business is registered with the governments ‘Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme' (SEIS) which allows investors to receive 50% of their investment back in income tax relief. Plus, in the 2014/2015 tax year investors can benefit from 50% capital gains tax relief on gains which are reinvested in SEIS eligible shares. Also, any gain arising on the disposal of the shares may be exempt from capital gains tax, and loss relief is available if the disposal results in a loss.

Jeremy Davies, Boxer's CEO says ‘We are proud of what we have achieved so far in that we have developed three unique models to production ready stage in less than 8 months. The early feedback we are receiving from our customers is exceeding our expectations and this gives us great confidence that Boxer has a great future ahead of itself.'
